Privacy notice
This page explains what personal information we collect when you contact our workshop, why we collect it, and how long we keep it. It is written in plain English on purpose.

Who we are
TheStar365 Joinery Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 201401045678 / 1108223-T) is a timber joinery workshop registered in Malaysia. Our address is 42, Jalan SS 21/56, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. For privacy questions you can write to [email protected].
What we collect
If you complete the enquiry form, we record your name, email address, mobile number, the structure you’re interested in and the message you wrote. If we visit your plot we may record dimensions, photographs and notes about the site. Aftercare records contain the date and content of any servicing carried out.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen. If you become aware that we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
Why we collect it
- To prepare and deliver a quotation, contract and (if you go ahead) the structure itself. This is processing necessary for the contract.
- To carry out aftercare visits and warranty obligations. This is necessary for the contract and for our legitimate interest in supporting the structures we deliver.
- To meet Malaysian tax and accounting requirements. This is processing required by law.
Cookies and the website
The website uses a small first-party cookie record (in your browser’s local storage) to remember your consent choice. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies or behavioural analytics on this site. See the cookie policy for the full list.
Who sees your data
Inside the workshop, only the project manager assigned to your enquiry, our administrative officer, and (where relevant) the installer or aftercare technician. We do not sell or share enquiry data with third parties for marketing.
For technical reasons our enquiry email lands in a Microsoft 365 tenant hosted in Singapore. Our accounting records sit with our retained accountants in Petaling Jaya.
How long we keep it
- Unsuccessful enquiries: 12 months from the last contact, then deleted.
- Active project records: 8 years from completion (covering the structural warranty period), then deleted.
- Tax and accounting records: 7 years, as required by Malaysian law.
Your rights
Under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct anything incorrect, withdraw consent for ongoing processing, or ask us to delete data that we no longer need to hold. Simply email us at [email protected]; we’ll respond inside fourteen working days.
Security
Workshop computers are encrypted at rest. Our enquiry mailbox uses two-factor authentication. Site notes and dimension drawings are kept in a locked cabinet and shredded when the retention period expires.
Updates to this notice
If anything material changes (for example, our retention rules) we update the date at the top of this page and post a small note on the homepage for thirty days.
